My guest Laurie Besden is such an amazing lady! Laurie is an attorney who once lost her privilege to practice law due to severe drug addiction and the crimes associated with addiction. But, she turned her life around and has served for 8 years as executive director of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers of Pennsylvania, where she assists lawyers, law students and judges and their families with all sorts of mental health issues and addictions. Laurie shares her story in a very forthright manner, making no excuses for the life she once led and the manipulations and lies and crimes that entangled her world – all for the next fix. How did she go from being addicted and in jail to becoming the executive director of an organization that has helped thousands of people in the legal field and their families?
